That's why the Slidell Memorial Hospital Regional Cancer Center offers patients, caregivers and community members a variety of resources, including a nurse navigator, a cancer resource library, support groups and more.
Oncology Nurse Navigator
Our nurse navigator guides newly diagnosed cancer patients through their treatment journey, providing education and important resources. This gives you quicker access to healthcare services and information. For more information, call (985) 280-6670.
Cancer Resource Library
Our library offers a vast selection of cancer-related literature and media available for check out. Subjects include clinical research, hospice care, diet and nutrition, grief, stress management, explaining cancer to children, pain management techniques, spirituality, complementary therapies and survivorship.

Social Worker

Dietitian
Our registered oncology dietitian specializes in helping cancer patients adjust their diet to optimize health and minimize side effects caused by cancer. Our dietitian can also help manage nutritional concerns that might not be directly related to your cancer diagnosis, such as: use of vitamin and herbal supplements, weight-gain and weight-loss management, safe food handling, special and restricted diets and cancer risk reduction. Bra Fitting Room
Donated by the SMH Foundation, our bra fitting room provides one complementary bra/prosthetic or prosthesis and a personal fitting to women with mastectomies in a relaxed, private atmosphere.
