What Do I Bring to the Hospital?

it's time to give birth

Arriving at the Hospital

Call the hospital's Labor and Delivery department at (985) 280-8596 and alert them to your pending arrival. Don't worry if there isn't time for a phone call, we are always ready and waiting.

Please drive safe and cautious.  Most delivery events take time and your safety comes first.

Upon arrival use the Florida Avenue (blue awning)  and 14th Street entrance to the hospital, and come up the stairs or elevator to the birthing suites on the second floor.

After 8 p.m. or before 6 a.m., please use the Emergency Room entrance located on 12th Street, just south of Gause Boulevard.  All other doors in the hospital are locked for entrance at these time for security and safety of our patients and staff.
