Topping Out Ceremony

Construction workers affixed the final structural beam to "top out” the structural framework of Slidell Memorial Hospital's (SMH) Regional Cancer Center under construction in Legacy Medical Park beside the SMH Founders Building on Robert Road.
SMH invited the community to take part in this customary "Topping Out Ceremony” at 5 p.m., Thursday, March 18, 2010, to mark a major milestone in the Center's construction.

The plate to be affixed to the final structural beam was displayed for several weeks in the hospital's atrium, where employees, patients and visitors were able to add their signature to commemorate the people who helped make the project possible.
